Wants of the silent & Star of hope

Synopsis Wants of the silent:
This second thrilling volume of the Sun Song trilogy takes Sorlie to the floodlands of southern Esperaneo to discover that family, love and resilience can triumph against even the harshest regime. Escaping from the penal colony on Black Rock, Sorlie joins his grandmother Vanora’s revolutionary army, expecting to find freedom. Instead he finds murder and mayhem. With her army in disarray and her network of supporters disappearing, Vanora chooses Sorlie to become her warrior. When Vanora is kidnapped, Sorlie becomes injured and marooned in the strange reservation of Steadie where old people and specials are hidden and protected from The State. But these outcasts are not the only secrets Steadie keeps. Why is Sorlie kept drugged for over a week? What are their links to The Blue Pearl Society? Why are they so wary of the Noiri black marketeers? And who is The Prince everyone is whispering about? The Sun Song trilogy explores life in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic Britain where society’s norms have broken down and life has to be lived differently.

Review Wants of the silent by Fany Van Hemelen:
What an intriguing sequel in the Sun Song Trilogy. Sorlie has escaped the Black Rock and is now part of the army of his grandmother Vanora.Till that day everything changes. Once again Sorlie and his mates and fighters have to make difficult choices and conquer hard times.

In this second book you meet other personalities better now and I was captivated once more by this story.
The future is not brighter and it is again a dark book with dangerous adventures. I am looking forward to the last one. If you love The Hunger Games you have to discover this series! What I do love about this book is it’s not soft but the way to freedom is long and hard. After ending this story I am guessing if those kids will ever find hope and peace. I am happy I can read the sequel immediately to found it how their journey is going to end If you love The Hunger Games you have to discover this series is a sentence I read about this series. I think it is more dark then The Hunger Games and worth to discover! ****

The Sun Song trilogy explores life in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic Britain where society’s norms have broken down and life has to be lived differently.

Review Star of Hope by Fany Van Hemelen:
In this third and last book, yeah it’s the final, both, Natives and Privileged have to work together to find a way out of the misery. Now it is time to set differences apart, to win from the real evil. Again this is set in a cruel future, where even kids are weapons, slaves or they do survive in unhuman circumstances . As a kid, your future is not bright in this grey and hard world.

Isobel and Sorlie both have other missions to accomplish, but of course nothing will be like they wished it would be and the journey has unexpected and horrible turns and twists.

The truth will be revealed at the end and is shocking. When I close this book I only can think I live in a happy world and I am glad this is just fiction. I have to be honest this is a well-written, exciting and post-apocalyptic specular series that I can recommend!
