Review One last prayer for the Rays by Fany Van Hemelen:
What a gripping and fast paced thriller I couldn’t put down anymore and finished in one time. When the twelve year old boy Paul Rays disappears at school this is a strange case. At the crime scene the police founds animal blood and no body. Then another bloody murder is taking place and from that moment, nothing will be normal again. This first book of a series about DCI Michael Yorke and his team has realistic characters and a good plot. After the killing it is obvious they suspect Thomas Ray. This man killed before and the complete town was in shock that day and now is he just released from prison. But is he the slaughter or is it somebody completely different?

I really was curious to find out what was the real truth. One last prayer for the Rays is a dark book with troubled characters and situations you don’t want to think about it.

I don’t want to say anymore then just read this thriller and discover what you want to see. It’s up to you to decide if you have pity for the victims and like me, even for the murderers. Wes Markin wrote a fantastic begin on a new series and I can’t wait to read the next books.
