The Grass Trail

Synopsis
Shaun knows who put him inside – and he wants to make her pay…

Shaun Halloran wouldn’t be in prison if glamorous Kat White hadn’t taken his gun. Pictures of the stunning blonde are plastered all over his cell. As soon as he can escape, she’s dead. But with his criminal empire crumbling, he can’t trust anyone.

Kat, panicked by poison pen letters, has nowhere to turn. Her parents are dead and her brother’s ill. Even her sexy new business partner may not be what he seems. When she receives life-changing news, vodka is the only answer…

A tense crime thriller with plenty of twists, The Grass Trail  races through Birmingham, London and the former Soviet Union – tempting you to turn each page.

Review The Grass Trail by Fany Van Hemelen:
The Grass Trail is the third trip into the intriguing world of Kat, Marty and Erik. AA Abbott has done it again! Maybe this is not a story full of action like the others, but I loved this as much for the well-developed characters. Shaun, in the prison by Kat in her earlier life, will bring some action in the tale. It’s clear that this author chooses to have strong females in the series. I can’t give away too much, but in The Grass Trail this comes back again.

Kat is searching for a way to release her own vodka label. In the beginning, she was a glamorous girl looking for money and trying to protect herself. Now she is back in Baltimore and she is getting grip on her life, while she is staying with her brother Erik. Erik is still the same kind engineer whose passion is Darria, some herbal tea, that apparently heals cancer. Erik is still on this product with Marty his business partner. Even though Marty and Kat escaped from a kidnapping in the past she still doesn’t trust him. For Kat it always stays his fault her parents died because, in her opinion, he didn’t do anything to help them save. Marty is becoming more a family guy in combination with the salesman. Marty will get new territories to let their plants grow, because people want more of this. The exploring of the characters moves on and when you have read the previous books, I know you just want to know what’s going to happen next. Is it possible for Kat and Erik to move on? Will Marty be untrustworthy? And a real important question : Will they all be safe and happy again?

You can still read The Grass Trail as a stand-alone, but I will advise you to read the whole series. I am sure you will love this book because it’s gripping and entertaining!

AA Abbott
English thriller writer AA Abbott’s real name is Helen Blenkinsop, but like JK Rowling, she wanted to . She loves city life, having lived and worked in London, Birmingham and Bristol. Her crime thrillers, set in Birmingham and London, sizzle with suspense, twists and the evils of office politics.

Helen’s books are available in a dyslexia-friendly large print as well as standard paperback and Kindle editions.

Her Trail Series follows the fortunes of glamorous blonde Kat White, a party girl who finds her purpose making vodka, shrewd businessman Marty Bridges, and manipulative East End crime lord Shaun Halloran.
