Review The Revenge Trail by Fany van Hemelen:
The Revenge Trail felt like homecoming for me. I did read the previous ones and I have to admit I am thrilled to follow the path of the protagonists any further. Of course, it is an easy written and fast paced thriller that you can perfectly read as as a stand-alone, but when you know the past you will very eager to know more about the gritty characters.
The success formula of the other books isn’t changed. The author gives different views by the eyes of the key players in short and exciting chapters.
The adventure of Kat, the heroine in the Vodka brand and her unusual business partner Marty, has unexpected turns and things change for everyone. Kat is hunted by her past and her future is in turmoil by different events. Her nightmare could be coming true when Shaun still is obsessed by killing her, nevertheless what he has to do to got that result. Kath has to cope with difficult issues and as a reader it looks like she is stubborn and selfish. Indeed, if you know her past, it is obvious she always has to be though and now she has to be vulnerable and for fierce Kat this isn’t as easy as it could be.
Kat is hunted by her past and her future is in turmoil by different events. Her nightmare could be coming true when Shaun still is obsessed by killing her, nevertheless what he has to do to got that result. Can Kat trust other people and will her life and that from her beloved ones go finally like they wish?
AA Abbott did write again a good crime thriller that reads fast and is engripping. I think I will staying a fan of her key players long after the series is finished.
I know this is actually the last book in the series, but maybe sometime I like to read by this author new stories with well-developed characters and an intriguing plot.
English thriller writer AA Abbott’s real name is Helen Blenkinsop, but like JK Rowling, she wanted to . She loves city life, having lived and worked in London, Birmingham and Bristol. Her crime thrillers, set in Birmingham and London, sizzle with suspense, twists and the evils of office politics.
Helen’s books are available in a dyslexia-friendly large print as well as standard paperback and Kindle editions.
Her Trail Series follows the fortunes of glamorous blonde Kat White, a party girl who finds her purpose making vodka, shrewd businessman Marty Bridges, and manipulative East End crime lord Shaun Halloran
